November 14 will be an exciting and nerve-wracking day for me. I’ll have a table at my first ever craft fair. To be honest, I’m extremely nervous about the whole thing, but I’ve had some people that are extremely important to me encourage me in the endeavor. One of my good friends will even be there with me and supporting me the entire time.

I’ve never done this, nor have I even really been to a craft fair before, so I don’t know what to expect.

If you live in the are, feel free to stop by the La Habra United Methodist Church and say hi! I’ve signed up for an inside table so that’s most likely where you’ll find me. It’s located at 631 N. Euclid St. La Habra, CA 90631

You might want to bring the entire family because they’re also hosting a Chili Cook-Off.

• We Have A Winner!

A few days ago, I was spending some time with a girlfriend when she said, “Hey! I have a necklace that maybe you can do something with!”

The story is that her son found a necklace at a yard sale and bought it for his mom for $1. While she liked the color and the beads, she wasn’t terribly keen on the way it had been set. She then went about remaking the necklace into something she’d actually wear. I have no idea where she was going with that because when she handed it to me, it was a hot mess. I wish I had taken a before picture.

It was strung on yellowed stretch cord and somehow became massively tangled up. The part I was able to unravel, I couldn’t even tell what she had been trying to do with it. I took the mess home and let the wheels turn for a while as I was trying to sneak in an afternoon nap with my little one. And then BAM! An idea struck and that was it for a nap. I headed downstairs and got to work.

Here’s the final product taken with my iPhone so the picture quality isn’t exactly the best. But you get the idea.

How I did it:

I took apart the old necklace and separated out the beads by size. Once I decided how I wanted it to look, I added in a few black accent beads from my stash. I whipped up a double strand wire chain, attached the beads at even intervals and voila! A brand new necklace she will actually wear. Her son saw it and was very excited that she’ll be wearing the necklace now.

Maybe you have a little pile of beads you don’t know what to do with. Or do you have an old necklace that you still love the color and the beads, but it needs to be freshened up. Maybe you have a yard sale find that you want revamped. I’d be happy to do this again for anyone in the same situation. Send me an email and we can talk about it.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful feedback and support I’ve received since launching the store. I’ve had a handful of sales so far, and many of you have let your friends know about my pieces. So for that, I’d like to tell you how much I appreciate your help with getting the word out!

So what’s new?

I’ve added one of my wire crochet necklaces. You can find that right here.
I’ll be adding more pictures to that listing as well as 2 more wire crochet necklaces.
I’ve also been busy creating more necklaces and once I have pictures, I’ll put them up here.
I’ve been putting together some new sets of earrings, and will get those added shortly.

And lastly, if you have a specific color combination you’re looking for, but don’t see it here, then click on Contact and let me know. I’d be more than happy to put together something just for you! If you like a pair I’ve already made, but need sterling silver or gold findings, I can remake them to order for a small additional cost.
